I thought you would like to see some photos of the Ewes these ladies are due to lamb on the 16th April, (Kevins Birthday) Bad planning on my part! I really would prefer to be out celebrating than sitting in the barn with the sheep.

Farm Shop

We are now operating our shop from the old milking parlor where we used to milk our cows. We hope you all enjoy the extra space and views of the sheep. Customers on the day we were shearing could see all the action!

29 weeks to Christmas!

June 5th, 2009

The turkey chicks arrived this monday. We get them in as day old chicks, they have to be kept warm under a heat lamp, and safe from foxes and the farm cats!. They are not very clever and can drown in very little water so we have to be careful of the type of drinkers we use while they are so small.

Day old turkeys

At the moment they eat special baby turkey crumbs, but as they get older they will be fed on the wheat we grow on the farm.  They also love cabbage and other vegetables which we will introduce as they get bigger. Last years turkeys got very excited when we put a large orange pumpkin in the pen.

Naughty Sheep.

May 30th, 2009

Today a number of customers kindly chased our naughty sheep off the driveway back into the field. Thankyou for your help. With over 200 small black escape artists we need all the help we can get. Kevin finds chasing naughty sheep a really amusing pastime, NOT !!
